Steeped in the rich heritage of all of our ancestors and the dedication of countless scientists, in the various fields of archaeology, rock art, botany, zoology, anthropology, military, cultural and living history, the McGregor Museum and its satellites offer visitors and students a unique opportunity to rediscover the gems hidden in the Northern Cape region, and all its peoples’ contribution.
The Museum has a wide spectrum of displays covering Ancestors & Frontier Halls, Green Point, Malay Camp, Kimberley’s history, (including the Siege), Enviro Zone, Hall of Religions, Rudd House and Dunluce House Museums and trailing off to Magersfontein Battlefield Museum, Pioneers of Aviation, Wildebeestkuil Rock Art Centre, Canteen Kopje, Wonderwerk Cave and more.
