The Panorama Route abounds with breathtaking views of natural wonders along the eastern slopes of the escarpment. The spectacular Blyde River Canyon has a number of viewpoints offering excellent views of the Canyon and the river 600m below, including the viewpoint at God’s Window.

The Panorama Route is also home to the Three Rondawels and Bourke’s Luck Potholes - deep cylindrical holes formed by the action of the sand and rock carried down by the rivers when in flood. Pinnacle Rock in the southern part of the Blyderivierspoort Reserve is a large protruding column of granite rising 30m above the dense indigenous forest.

The Berlin Falls and Lisbon Falls are both spectacular. The forestry town of Sabie accentuates the beauty of the route with majestic waterfalls such as Lone Creek, Bridal Veil, Horseshoe, Mac Mac and the Sabie Falls. The towns of Lydenburg and Graskop are gateways to the Panorama Route.
