The Blokhuis is the most southerly relic of the Anglo-Boer War. It was
one of a number of fortified Block Houses built by the British to protect
the railway line from Boer commandos.
The Breytenbach Centre was once home to the well-known
Breytenbach Family and is now home to Cultural projects. Renovations
were completed in early 2007 and it offers visitors the opportunity to
view some of the art produced in Wellington. The Centre also offers
photography, art and writing classes.
