The southern tip of the African continent is the meeting place of two
mighty and bountiful oceans, the Indian and the Atlantic. The Two
Oceans Aquarium on the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, showcases the
incredible diversity of marine life found in these two oceans.
The Lowveld National Botanical Garden occupies an outstandingly
beautiful site in the subtropical heart of Mpumalanga Province.
The youngest of the National Botanical Gardens managed by the South
African National Biodiversity Institute – the Hantam National Botanical
Garden was established in 2007. Located just outside the town of
Nieuwoudtville in the Northern Cape, the Garden serves as a centre for
biodiversity research in the Bokkeveld Plateau and Succulent Karoo region.
Uniquely set between mountain and sea, this secluded and beautiful Garden
comprises 10ha of cultivated Fynbos garden and 190ha of pristine natural
